Investing in golf clubs can be a big decision, not only in terms of the money that you spend but also in terms of the clubs that you choose. With so many different options on the market, it can be difficult to know where to start. If you are in the market for a new set of golf clubs, the TaylorMade RBZ SpeedLite Golf Set is a great option to consider.
The TaylorMade RBZ SpeedLite Golf Set includes everything that you need to get started on the course. The set includes a driver, two fairway woods, two rescue clubs, 6-9 irons, pitching wedge & sand wedge, and a putter. The clubs are designed to offer forgiveness and high launch, making them a great choice for beginners and intermediate golfers.
This set comes with 14 way Lightweight Cart Bag which is quite sturdy and very sleek looking. It has 8 pockets in total that provide enough space to store all your golfing gear and accessories. The bag also features a 14 way top which helps to keep the clubs organized and protected while you are on the move.
So, is the TaylorMade RBZ SpeedLite Golf Set for you? Let’s break down the individual clubs to see if this set is right for your game.
TaylorMade RBZ SpeedLite Driver
You will not be disappointed with the driver in this set. It has a 460cc titanium head with advanced aerodynamic shaping to promote faster swing speeds. The loft is set at 10.5-degree and it comes with an ultralight 50g RBZ shaft.
The Speed Pocket on the driver provides more face flex and greater performance on shots struck low on the face. This is a great feature for beginners and intermediate golfers as it will help to launch the ball with ease.
I must say that it did feel and look good and gave me the confidence when I was teeing off. Although when compared to TaylorMade SIM2 Max driver, It is not as forgiving, but it will still provide you with great results.
TaylorMade RBZ SpeedLite Fairway Woods
The fairway woods in this set are designed to offer high launch and forgiveness. They are both very easy to hit and provide great results. The 3-wood has a 15-degree loft and the 5-wood has a 19-degree loft.
I really liked both clubs and managed to hit some good shots with them. The 3-wood is a great club to use off the tee or from the fairway, while the 5-wood can be used for longer shots when you need to add some extra distance.
The ball flight was nice and high, making it easy to hit the greens from the fairway.
TaylorMade RBZ SpeedLite Rescue Clubs
The great thing about this set is that it includes two rescue clubs. If you find hitting your fairway woods difficult, or if you are struggling to hit your irons, then these rescue clubs will be a great addition to your bag.
The 21-degree 4 Rescue and the 24-degree 5 Rescue are designed to offer forgiveness and the Versatile Sole Design is there to help you get the ball airborne with ease. I found both clubs to be very easy to hit and they performed well form the rough and tight lies.
TaylorMade RBZ SpeedLite Irons
I must say that the Irons in TaylorMade RBZ SpeedLite club set feel very solid and look great too. The advanced perimeter weighting provides more forgiveness on off-centre hits and the Speed Pocket technology helps to launch the ball with ease.
The set includes 6-9 irons and pitching wedge & sand wedge. The 6-iron has a 27-degree loft, the 7-iron has 31-degree loft, 8 has 36-degree loft and 9 iron 41-degree loft. You will find that cavity-back irons are very forgiving and offer a nice, high ball flight.
The Highlight of TaylorMade RBZ SpeedLite
The highlight of TaylorMade RBZ for me is a sand wedge and pitching wedge. It’s nice to have them both in your golf bag especially when you are playing on a course with tight lies and bunkers. I use my pitching wedge within 100 yards and the sand wedge around the greens.
I was surprised and really pleased with the bladed design of this sand wedge as it looks like one of the premium wedges on the market. Most club sets come with oversized wedges that can be difficult to control. With this wedge, you get a great feel and touch around the greens.
The Pitching wedge comes in 46-degree loft and sand wedge in 55-degree loft. You can always add gap wedge or lob wedge if you feel the need for more loft.
TaylorMade RBZ SpeedLite Putter
Both men and women putters in this set come with Golf Pride TaylorMade Tour Rubber which are the same ones as used by Rory McIlroy and Jon Rahm. The putter itself is one of my favourite ones as it has a nice tour-weighted feel to it.
The putter is very well balanced and has great alignment features to help you line up your putts. I must say that I prefer a mallet putter over a blade but it is really a personal preference. This putter might feel lighter for some of the golfers especially if you have used the premium TaylorMade Spider putter before but it will still perform well.
