The turbulators on the crown help to reduce aerodynamic drag and they also make a great visual impact. They also help you to align the clubface more easily. If you struggle with confidence on the first tee then the PING G425 will help to give you that boost.

As Rick Shiels mentioned in his video review this driver will still look great even after years of use.

Performance

The PING G425 is a superb performer. It is one of the most straightest and forgiving drivers on the market. The G425 has the highest MOI of any driver that PING has ever manufactured making it their most forgiving driver ever. So this club is really for someone looking to straighten their drive.

The club is very easy to hit and it goes a long way. If you are looking for distance then you might consider Cobra Ltdx or TaylorMade Stealth but if you are looking for accuracy and forgiveness then the PING G425 is the driver for you.

When hitting the ball it has a very solid feel and the sound is very pleasing. Before I took this driver to the course I hit some balls at the range and I was very impressed with how well it performed.

I was averaging 220 yards with 240 yards of carry which is my current average driving distance.

PING G425 Club Face

When I took it to the course I found that I was hitting a lot more fairways than usual and this put me in a better position to score. Even though I miss-hit some of my drives they still went reasonably straight and I was still able to score well.

The G425 is available in three different versions, the Max, the LST and the SFT.

PING G425 Max

This driver is the most forgiving of the three and it is suited for those who struggle to hit the ball straight. It has a slightly larger head than the other two and it has more weight towards the heel. This makes it more forgiving on those mishits.

PING G425 LST

The Low Spin Technology (LST) version of the G425 is for those who are looking to reduce spin and maximize distance. It has a smaller head than the Max and it is more aerodynamic. This makes it faster through the air and it will help you to hit the ball further.

PING G425 SFT

The Straight Flight Technology (SFT) version of the G425 is for those who want to hit the ball straight. If you are the one who slices the ball then this could be the driver for you. It has weight placed in the heel and toe which makes it more forgiving on those mishits.

Technology and Features

Highest MOI

In the MAX version, the G425 has the highest MOI of any driver that PING has ever manufactured making it their most forgiving driver yet. The adjustable 26-gram tungsten weight is positioned on the extreme perimeter of the G425 MAX to create the highest MOI possible.

Internal Dragonfly

The Dragonfly technology redistributes the weight from the crown throughout the body of the club to create a deep CG location. This results in low spin and high launch for maximum distance.

Precision Forged Face

The forged T9S+ face is precision milled to create a thin yet strong structure. This results in a larger sweet spot and increased ball speeds across the entire face.

Aerodynamic Design

The G425 driver has aerodynamic turbulators on the crown that help reduce drag and they also make a great visual impact. They also help you to align the clubface more easily.

Internal Ribbing

The Internal rib structure in the Ti 8-1-1 body was developed by PING engineers and reinforced the key sections of the head to improve the acoustics for a solid, pleasing sound and better feel.

Easy Adjustability

Trajectory Tuning 2.0 utilizes a lightweight, aerodynamic hosel sleeve that provides eight positions to customize your trajectory for maximum distance and accuracy. This allows you to fine-tune your ball flight to match the conditions of the day for improved performance.
